The Silo house in Teton Valley Idaho uses local vernacular forms and materials to relate to its surroundings. It features local reclaimed corral board siding, a grain silo, natural exterior plaster, and a custom brise soleil sun shade on the south. The large southeast facing windows capture both the sun’s heat and the view to the Grand Teton. The interior has a concrete ‘mass’ floor with radiant heat, and HRV, highly insulated walls, bamboo cabinetry, Paperstone countertops, and American Clay plaster. The home is Energy Star certified.
