This home is located in Victor, Idaho. It houses a newly retired, active outdoor couple who are artists and very involved in the community. Energy efficiency was very important, and as such, energy modeling was used to size windows and insulation levels. It features double stud construction (thick walls, thermal break, highly insulated), and passive solar design includes south windows, brise soleils, and a concrete ‘mass’ slab.
